I’m almost ready to install Yellow Dog Linux I’ve downloaded the ISO from Oregon.edu and verified the SHA1 checksum. One thing I must tell you is: When you download an ISO in Mac OS X on a slower gen Mac like a G4 like mine, upon launching Terminal to check the checksum, walk away, don’t run the test again. The test actually takes maybe 5 minutes or more, so please do your best to be patient and wait it out. There’s no bells and whistles going on with what terminal is actually doing, like all the aqua baloney, watch clock time cursor or anything!!!

Next I need to burn the DVD, get my G4 that I’ll use in the mail, format it’s HDD and install. I can hardly wait!!
